They try to put us in the ground
Us Diamonds in the rough
Telling us we're worthless
That we'll never be enough.
All Diamonds are imperfect
Smoothened out by many trials
Our determination prospers
Because we go the extra mile.
They think our works are useless
Say that it will never amount
To the masterpieces by the Masters
Yet that's how they all started out.
Just because we're Diamonds
Doesn't mean our hearts are stone
There's a fire deep inside us
Burning boldly in our souls.
The Heartless bury us with insults
Put us down with jeers and lies
Trying to smother out the Fire
That keeps our passion running high.
But don't they know we're fighters?
We've been through this before
They've done it far too many times
We won't take it anymore.
We Diamonds will not crumble
To the crushing words of Doubt
Because the words concealed within us
Are the only words that count.
So don't worry, Hidden Diamonds
Just never lose your shine
For one day we'll be discovered
And take our places in the sky.

Hence, I dedicate this to everyone who has had SOOO many people put them down, in addition to life being such a bummer you suddenly feel the urge to put a bullet in your head. A feeling we can all relate to. Anyway, I hope you all don't give up on yourselves. Our Arts demand we take the a difficult path, that many people take for granted. But fight on, for I'm sure the journey is worth it. And besides, Success is the best revenge. You can all laugh in their faces when you prove them wrong. And remember, to be artistically 'insane' is just another way of saying you have a wild imagination. So screw whatever else they say.
Random question: Though personally I'm not fond of the song, who thought of Rihanna's 'Diamonds'?.... And then who thought of 'Twinkle Twinkle'?

This is gorgeous, I know the feeling all too well of being beaten down and said I'm not good enough, but I came to realize that I shine in my own way and the harsh words and the pressure from them made me into a better person. I wouldn't be who I am today without those rough experiences. You did so amazing with this, I can't even express how much I loved it! Amazing job!!
